Dr Simon Tournemine in Hauts-de-Seine & Yvelines
As a specialist in orthopaedic surgery and lower limb trauma, I treat conditions affecting the hip, knee, ankle and foot.
Hip and Knee Joint Replacement
Formerly a clinical fellow at the Centre of Excellence of Cochin Hospital (Paris), I have developed particular expertise in hip and knee replacement surgery. My practice is based on the latest advances in orthopaedic surgery, including minimally invasive direct anterior total hip arthroplasty, patient-specific preoperative planning and personalized knee replacement surgery, as well as Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocols.
Foot and Ankle Surgery
Trained at Ambroise-Paré Hospital (Boulogne-Billancourt), a reference centre for foot and ankle surgery, where I continue to practise, I treat the full range of foot and ankle conditions, including hallux valgus, osteoarthritis, deformities and ankle instability.
With particular expertise in minimally invasive surgery, I prioritize tissue preservation and perform procedures using arthroscopy (video-assisted surgery) and minimally invasive percutaneous techniques involving millimetre-sized incisions.
Sports Traumatology and Athlete Surgery
As a high-level endurance athlete competing in triathlon, ultra-trail running and mountaineering, I understand the specific demands placed on athletes and provide tailored management of sports-related injuries and conditions, including meniscal surgery, anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction and ankle ligament repair.
My goal is to support each patient through an optimal and individualized return to sport, adapted to their specific needs and athletic objectives.
Media Appearances and Medical Education
Committed to medical information and patient education, I regularly share my expertise as a medical consultant for national media outlets, including La Chaîne L’Équipe, Le Magazine de la Santé on France 5, Vulgaris Médical and other specialized media.
Through my website and YouTube channel, I also publish patient-focused educational content covering current developments and the latest advances in orthopaedic surgery.
