Hip Surgery in Hauts-de-Seine

The hip is a major weight-bearing joint that connects the femur to the pelvis and plays a fundamental role in mobility and stability. It is commonly affected by degenerative conditions such as osteoarthritis, avascular necrosis of the femoral head, and traumatic injuries including femoral neck and trochanteric fractures. Depending on the underlying pathology, surgical treatment may involve replacing the damaged joint with a total hip replacement or stabilising a fracture using internal fixation (osteosynthesis) to restore function and promote bone healing.

During my Clinical Fellowship at the Orthopaedic Department of Cochin Hospital, a recognised referral centre for hip surgery, I developed particular expertise in total hip replacement. I perform hip replacement surgery using the latest surgical techniques, including the minimally invasive direct anterior approach combined with Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocols. This contemporary approach aims to optimise functional outcomes, support early mobilisation and facilitate a faster postoperative recovery while ensuring treatment tailored to each patient’s individual needs.
