Ankle Surgery in Hauts-de-Seine

Dr Simon Tournemine

Ankle Procedures

The ankle is a complex joint that is commonly affected by both cartilage disorders, such as osteoarthritis and osteochondral lesions of the talus (OLT), and traumatic injuries, including ankle sprains, fractures, Achilles tendon ruptures and ankle impingement syndromes. The main surgical procedures aim to restore damaged cartilage, repair torn tendons and ligaments, stabilise fractures, and relieve painful mechanical impingement.

Currently practising at Ambroise-Paré Hospital in Boulogne-Billancourt, a recognised referral centre for ankle surgery, I perform these procedures using the latest surgical techniques, including percutaneous surgery (performed through tiny skin incisions without formal open exposure) and minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery. Ankle surgery has become one of my areas of particular expertise, enabling me to provide patients with modern, evidence-based treatment tailored to each individual condition.
